The novel was considered the author best selling novel. Is the second edition of The Chronicles of Narnia series. The novel set in the place Narnia a land of talking animals and mythical creatures. And there is one White Witch who ruled in deep winter for hundred years. This is the story of four children who visited this land four times. They visited there together.
Names of these siblings are Lucy Pevensie, Susan, Edmund, and Peter. They all send to a professor in a countryside. Lucy found a wardrobe in professor house which is the part of the forest in a land called Narnia. In the forest, she meets with Tumnus who invites her in his home for tea. Lucy returns through the last second of her life but her sibling does not believe in her story the story of another world. The all story is the hidden word.
Lucy Pevensie: she is a young child and primary protagonist of the story. She finds the land of Narnia through the magical wardrobe in the Professor’s house.
Edmund Pevensie: He is the second one in his Pevensie children and his relations with his siblings are not so good. He is also known as a liar and a bully.
Susan Pevensie: she is a second-oldest of Pevensie children. She does not believe in Narnia until she goes there.
Peter Pevensie: He is the eldest of the Pevensie siblings.
The writer takes an idea from some lines written in fourteen years ago.

Lewis also wrote the sequel to this book name Prince Caspian. And he completes the sequel in 1949. Today Lewis is known as the best children writer. Due to American labor union rules, the writer changes some changes in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in the first American edition. In the American edition, the name of White Witch’s chief is replaced with Fenris Ulf. And the “trunk of the World Ash Tree” was replaced with “the fire-stones of the Secret Hill”. The words in American edition is 36,135. The story is adapted three times in TV. In 2005, the story is adapted in a theatrical film produced by Walt Disney and Walden Media.

They both worked in the English faculty at Oxford University.
